Three, 12-bit processing systems, that is, 4096 (2 to the 12th power) levels of gray.The simple idea is that there are 4,096 brightness changes from black to white.
Four-bit, 14-bit processing systems, also known as 16384 (2 to the 14th power) levels of gray.In simple terms, there are 16,384 brightness changes from black to white.
How to identify led display brightness level
Brightness discrimination is the degree of brightness between the darkest and whitest images that the human eye can distinguish.Some of the screens mentioned above have a high gray level, which can be 256 or even 1024.However, due to the limited sensitivity of human eyes to brightness, these levels cannot be fully recognized.That is, many people with adjacent levels of gray may look the same.And eye resolution varies from person to person.With displays, the more the human eye recognizes, the better, because the images are meant to be seen.The more levels of brightness that the human eye can distinguish, the larger the color space of the display, the greater the potential to display rich colors.Brightness discrimination level can be tested with special software, the general display can be up to 20 levels is a better level.
At present, some domestic control system suppliers refer to the gray scale of 4096 or 16384 or higher after nonlinear transformation.Level 4096 is a non-linear transformation technology from 8-bit source to 12-bit space, and level 16384 is a non-linear transformation technology from 8-bit to 16-bit.The space must be larger than that of the 8-bit source.Usually at least 10 digits.Like gray, this parameter is not bigger the better, generally 12 bit can do enough transformation.

The contribution of red, green and blue to the fineness of white is different.The root cause is that the human eye‘s retina senses differently to different wavelengths of light.After a lot of experimental tests, the following roughly proportion is obtained for reference design:
Simple red, green and blue brightness ratio: 3:6:1
The accurate red-green-blue brightness ratio is: 3.0:5.9:1.1
